As for the framing of the demographic data… The power and privilege conversation was proposed on Day 1 of the Open Space and then several days later, the host group had a theme around money and systems. I think Manel had been curious to do the data demographic activity for a while anyway because for one thing, people rarely talk about money/earnings in this field, and so he jumped at the opportunity. The intention is to send it out as a survey into the wider community to get more data. Part of the framing is to see what power dynamics are at play etc., as I understand it. But there wasn’t an explicit link between this activity and the power/privilege conversation days earlier. Does that help?
