Thanks for this honest reflection, David. Our mutual colleague, Karin, has a nice phrase that comes to mind on this topic: that in self-managed teams or organisations, people can choose their highest level of engagements. That might be different at different times of the year or stages of life, and as long as it's "up on the table", we can decide to accept it and find a way to be with it.
