"I want my team to reflect back to me the things I cannot see in myself and hold me accountable to my commitment to learn." <-- this reminds me of an idea I read about in John O'Donohue's book Anam Cara. "Kalyana-mitra" which is a Buddhist term for a noble friend, is someone who will not accept pretension, and will gently but firmly confront you with your own blindness. John writes "As there is a blind spot in the retina of the human eye, there is also in the soul a blind side where you are not able to see. Therefore, you must depend on the one you love to see for you, where you cannot see for yourself."
